Karel Bauer—Field Director/Director of Photography

Karel Bauer is an award-winning director of photography and cameraman who has been creating high-end film and video imagery for more than two decades. After earning his BFA in film from NYU, Karel moved to Louisiana, where he photographed and edited a highly-rated wildlife series for public television.

After moving to Seattle in 1991, Karel established a freelance business with emphasis on documentary and corporate projects. His clients include BILL NYE THE SCIENCE GUY, RICK STEVE'S EUROPE, HBO, and NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC, as well as several Fortune 500 companies, and all the major US television networks: History Channel, Discovery Channel, National Geographic Television, A & E, VH1, MTV, Channel 4 UK, Nippon TV, NHK, and ZDF Germany.

Karel's film and television production has taken him to over 30 countries around the world He has won numerous awards, including Tellies, Cine's, and an Emmy nomination.

Sean White—Director of Photography

Sean White is an award-winning photographer, cinematographer, and film director whose assignments and personal projects take him to all corners of the globe.

His credits include National Geographic Television, Discovery Channel, History Channel, PBS, Outdoor Life Network, CBC, Sports Illustrated, Arena, GQ, Men's Journal, National Geographic Adventure, Outside Magazine, and many others.

Sean is also an active paraglider pilot, rock climber, and mountain unicyclist. When he's not traveling, he spends as much time as possible in his hometown of Victoria, BC, Canada.

John Greengo—Field Production

John Greengo is a native of Seattle Washington and handles many of the behind the scenes responsibilities for the Travels to the Edge with Art Wolfe crew. As Art Wolfe's photography assistant, he's responsible for keeping all the photographic and computer equipment running smoothly, as well as shooting all the productions stills.

John has a degree in photojournalism from Oregon State University and has been photographing his own adventures around the world for the last 20 years. As an avid outdoor enthusiast he enjoys running, biking, hiking, canoeing and kayaking, especially when they can be combined with traveling to a far-flung destination. Several of his adventures have been turned into short documentaries that have been presented at various outdoor venues over the last 10 years.

John is also a professionally ranked foosball player who regularly competes in national competitions around the country.
